Alcance

Esta norma (Parte II) se aplica a los postaisladores cilíndricos y a las unidades de postaisladores de material cerámico destinados al servicio exterior en instalaciones o equipos eléctricos que funcionan con corriente alterna con una tensión nominal superior a 1 000 V y una frecuencia no superior a 100 Hz. Los aisladores cubiertos por esta norma están destinados principalmente para su uso en aisladores (seccionadores) o como barras colectoras o soportes de fusibles.
